De voorbije weken schreven als een kroniek van een aangekondigde winnaar. Maar vannacht tijdens The Game Awards werd al snel duidelijk dat het Belgische Baldur’s Gate 3 de grote winnaar zou worden.
De game van Larian Studios ging aan de haal met maar liefst zes prijzen waaronder die van Publieksprijs, beste RPG en natuurlijk het felbegeerde Game of the Year!
Alan Wake 2 strandde op de tweede plek in de verkiezing van beste game van 2023, en mocht in totaal ook naar huis met drie prijzen.
